Washington School
A Bright Start for a Brighter Tomorrow
Building Opened in 1953
Washington School houses all of the District’s programs for three- to five-year-olds including kindergarten, At-Risk Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Parental Training. The Washington staff is dedicated to giving the children of Harvard a strong start in their career, as life-long learners.
Central School
A Tradition in Education Since 1888
Building Opened in 1888
Historic Central School, believed to be the oldest continuously operating school in the state, houses all of the district’s second grade students. Located near the center of town, Central school has been in use as a school since 1888.
Jefferson School
Meeting the Needs of All Learners
Building Opened in 1954
Jefferson School houses first, third and fourth graders. Jefferson is a child-centered school with a mix of veteran and energetic new staff.
Harvard Jr. High School
Educating the Whole Child
Building Opened in 1962
In addition to the basic educational curriculum, Harvard Junior High stresses the total development of the student with exploratory classes in Spanish, music, art and computers as well as sports, student government, band, and other extra-curricular activities. The Junior High staff works closely with the High School to ensure a smooth transition for eighth graders.
Harvard High School
Preparing for Life
Building Opened in 1921
The High School offers both career and technical education (CTE) and college preparatory curricula to meet the needs of all students. HHS offers challenging honors classes and dual credit courses (both college and high school credit) in cooperation with McHenry County College (MCC).
