Students in Ms. Mercado's class are learning the steps of the scientific method through their own experiments, mixing different amounts of vinegar and baking soda to inflate a balloon.

Crosby students celebrated all of our 1st quarter accomplishments. Perfect attendance, students of the quarter, and classes with the most purple Crosby cash. We also set goals for quarter 2. Keep up the great work! Thank you HHS Cheerleaders for helping us celebrate!




Students and staff had a fun day dressing up.


Mrs. Peceniak's kindergarten students and Mrs. Dahlke's third grade students painted pumpkins together during their "reading buddy" time. They get together to read stories and participate in a variety of activities.




Mrs. Nulle's Second Grade Class is playing a skip count race game. They are practicing how to skip count by 2's, 5's and 10's.




Mrs. Pecoraro's Kindergarten class used Uno cards to put numbers in order.




Mrs. Peceniak’s Kindergarten Class investigated pumpkins this week during Science! They learned about the pumpkin life cycle, measured the pumpkin with cubes, counted the lines on the pumpkin, and explored the parts of a pumpkin.



Students in Mrs. Fusillo’s class enjoy becoming “Teachers for a Day!” Here, they got to explain and reteach their classmates some strategies for rounding numbers in math class.

After learning about the Scientific Method we conducted our own Science experiment to see if a pumpkin would sink or float. Most students wrote a hypothesis that it would sink while only a few were correct in thinking it would float.



Ms. Cowley visited Mrs. Dahlke's class to share about her experiences in Alaska. The story they are reading in class takes place in Alaska, it was amazing to hear from her.



Ms. Thurow's class collaborated in math centers. Students took turns participating in fun games about rounding, using place value, and adding and subtracting.
