Early Release Day Dismissal Times

  • Washington: No afternoon classes

  • Crosby Elementary: 1:15 pm

  • Jefferson Elementary: 1:05 pm

  • Harvard Junior High School: 1:00 pm

  • Harvard High School: 1:00 pm

Delayed Start Schedule

  • Washington:

    • No morning session

    • Afternoon 11:50 – 2:50 pm

  • Crosby Elementary: 10:10 am – 3:05 pm

  • Jefferson Elementary: 9:55 am – 2:55 pm

  • Harvard Jr. High: 10:00 am – 2:45 pm

  • Harvard High School: 10:00 am – 2:45 pm

On delayed start schedule days, district buses will arrive at the scheduled pick-up points two hours later than their regularly scheduled time. Students who walk or drive to school should arrive at the times listed below. In the event a delayed start schedule is used, class periods will be shortened to accommodate a shorter day, but dismissal times will not change.

Delayed Start Adjustments

  • Students arrive at the bus stop two hours later than your normal scheduled time

  • Parents dropping off students, students who walk, and students driving to school should arrive 2 hours after their regular arrival times.

  • Morning Washington School session canceled

  • Before-school programs will be canceled

  • After-school athletic programs will maintain normal schedules unless otherwise notified

School Closing

For the 2021 - 2022 school year, Emergency Weather days are traditional snow days. Students and staff have no academic responsibilities.

In the event of severe weather, D50 Superintendent may delay school.
Notifications (of a delayed start, at-home snow day, or other unusual circumstances to cancel school) are made through our automated phone calling system, text messages, emails, the district website, and on our social media channels. Our emergency notification system automatically imports phone numbers and email addresses from school records located in Powerschool.
