CUSD 50 Staff Spotlight: Amy Finfrock, Special Ed Educational Support Personnel at Jefferson
"I was born and raised in Harvard. I went through the Harvard school system and I also attended McHenry County College. I’m very proud to be a lifelong member of the Harvard community. It’s a great place to grow up and raise a family."
"My career began in banking but I always had an interest in working in education. I had a lot of great teachers throughout my schooling and believed that I could have a positive impact on students. I began working as a special education ESP in 2014 at Crosby. In 2021, I moved to Jefferson. I have enjoyed working with the students and staff at both schools."
"The best part about working as an educator is knowing that you are helping students to become their best selves. I love that I get to help students and make a difference in their lives."
"I love the small town feel, Hornet pride, and sense of community. It’s a great feeling knowing that I’m working with my former classmates’ children and grandchildren. It’s been wonderful to be a part of my own children’s education. I never feel like I’m going to work because I love what I do and the people I work with each day. It’s nice to have the privilege of working in schools where there is a mutual respect among the people who work together to prepare students for their future."
"Be kind! Spread positivity every day. Be thankful for the great people and things in your life. Quietly do random acts of kindness. Compliment other people because you may be the only person who does. Choose to be happy."
