It's Spirit Week at Jefferson! Today was Fall Flannel day! It was also referred to as "Square Shirt Day" by one of our students! Whatever you want to call it, the kids dressed the part! Don't forget that Wednesday is Bright Colors Day!

Kind, sweet, funny, athletic, weird, helpful. These are just a few of the amazing adjectives our students came up with to describe themselves this week. It's been a good week of reflecting on their hard work during our student led conferences.

5th grade is so excited to have parents coming to speak about their careers on October 4! 5th grade students will be able to choose three different presentations to hear about careers they are interested in or want to learn more about. We are very grateful to the people that are taking time out of their day to present. Students are not just learning about careers, but the path taken, the skills needed, the impact on our community, and opportunities presented.

Mrs. Sciame has been working with small groups of fourth graders to help solidify difficult math concepts. Here they are justifying their reasoning using base ten blocks, drawings, models, or words.

Ms. Garcia's class was also “Reading our room” in order to find different nouns. They will then classify them into common or proper nouns (sustantivos comunes y propios).




Every morning students from Mrs. Zekoff’s and Ms.Martinez’s class start their day with a morning meeting. They analyze a quote and how theycan apply it to their lives. They also take time to answer a silly question to start the day right.
