Happy Earth Day! 🌎 Ms. Kelley's class made seed balls to take home to plant. Seed balls are made of clay, soil, and wildflower seeds. The clay protects the seeds from hungry insects and birds, while the soil provides organic matter and nutrients. When conditions are right, the seed balls will break down and the seeds will germinate into flowering plants that will provide habitat and food for our important pollinator friends. 🐝🦋

Each District 50 building created a poster for students to write notes to staff sharing why they are thankful for their teachers. This may be a bit difficult for our 3-5 year olds at Washington.
