Ms. Natalia's class talked about how in Colombia they celebrate Día de las Velitas. People around Colombia light colorful candles and place them all over their towns – on sidewalks, balconies, and windowsills. Candles are lit during varying times across Colombia, some lighting them on the evening of December 7th, some light theirs at midnight on the 8th December. Día de las Velitas is considered an unofficial start date to the Christmas season. 🎁🎄#DiaDeLasVelitas #TheWashingtonWay #HarvardRising

To celebrate the end of our Bread study Washington students got to visit Sweet Bees Bakery on Friday. They used their own coupons to get a donut to enjoy with their class. Thank you Cakes by Bella, Sisters Donuts, Country Donuts, Harvard Walmart, and By the Dozen bakery for your donations. Also, thank you to the parents that volunteered to help our donut day run so smoothly. 🍩 #TheWashingtonWay #Donuts #HarvardRising #CreativeCurriculum
