Washington School is studying clothes for our Creative Curriculum Clothing unit. Ms. Whitney's class explored different materials and glued them onto paper squares so we could make a class quilt. They also painted with shoes, followed directions by dressing paper dolls with specific clothes, read stories, sang songs, and did crafts, all while learning and having fun! 🧢🧤🧣👗👔🧦👘🦺 #TheWashingtonWay #HarvardRising #CreativeCurriculum #LearningThroughPlay La Escuela Washington está estudiando ropa para nuestra unidad de Ropa del Currículo Creativo. La clase de la Sra. Whitney exploró diferentes materiales y los pegó en cuadrados de papel para que pudiéramos hacer una colcha para la clase. We would like to give a belated shout out to our Parent Educators with Washington's Birth to Three Program. For those of you who don't know what these ladies do- their main focus is to encourage nurturing parent-child interactions to boost child development and strengthen parent-child bonds. They do home visits twice a month and offer age appropriate educational activities to promote healthy brain development and self-regulation skills. They also provide developmental assessments, resource connections, and monthly family nights. Thank you for all you do Veronica, Carolina, Alma and Daniela. Yesterday some of Washington students participated in Erin's Law Presentation. They were educated about keeping themselves safe. Washington is always teaching students ways to stay safe. Yesterday Washington School went on a Field Trip to Cody's Farm & Orchard. We got to pick apples, pet animals, eat a donut, drink apple cider and play in corn and on Cody's playground. Ms. Wanda’s class made patterns with apples and counted the apples they pasted onto paper. They also measured how tall they were using leaves.
