CUSD 50 Staff Spotlight: Anna Pecoraro, Kindergarten English Dual Language Teacher at Crosby
"I grew up in Hampshire IL and I graduated from Hampshire High School. Afterwards, I went to Elgin Community College and National Louis University for my teaching degree. Just last year, I went back to school and I received my ESL endorsement from Aurora University."
"I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was three years old and I got to go to school for the first time. Seeing other teachers teach others, inspired me to want to become a teacher myself. I started teaching Kindergarten 18 years ago and I have loved it ever since. This is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten in Harvard and I am happy to be here!"
"My favorite part of being an educator is teaching children how to read and write. This year, I am an English Language Arts teacher so I get to teach students what I love to teach all day long! I get so excited to see the growth the Kindergarten students make every year and even happier that I get to be a part of it!"
"I love that CUSD 50 is a small school district and that everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand to help others. Each and every year, educators are working together to help students get a great education!"
"For those who want to spread more positivity in their workplace, my advice would be to get to know your colleagues and celebrate all the strengths that different people bring to work with them everyday!"
