CUSD 50 Staff Spotlight: Lea Swenson, Principal's Secretary at Harvard High School
"From my very first day of kindergarten to the moment I walked across the stage at graduation, I attended the schools of CUSD 50."
"This is my seventh year serving as a secretary at the high school. Even though the building and faces have changed quite a bit since I walked these halls as a student, stepping back into the school felt like coming home. There’s something special about being part of the place that helped shape who I am."
"I like being involved in planning the special events and celebrations that shine a light on our students and all the amazing things they’re doing. It’s so rewarding to see their hard work and talents recognized, and knowing I play a small part in making those moments happen is pretty special."
"There are so many amazing people in District 50 making good things happen. I really enjoy being part of a place that values and acknowledges their hard work and dedication."
"Be kind and treat others the way you’d like to be treated. Life can be tough sometimes, and it’s okay to accept help when it’s offered. That’s part of what makes our small town such a special place."
