The fall sports season has come to an end, but not before nine Harvard High School student-athletes earned all-conference recognition. Jesus Aquino (boys soccer), Conner Firlick (football), Migual Fuentes (boys soccer), Bryan Gorostieta (boys soccer), Madison McDonough (volleyball), Luis Pichardo (boys soccer), Wyatt Stott (boys golf), Drey Williams (football) and Braden Wittum (football) were named All-Kishwaukee River Conference honorees.
"What an outstanding fall season for Harvard CUSD 50 athletics,” said Athletic Director Barry Gurvey. “I'm proud to join our coaches in celebrating these nine student-athletes who earned all-conference honors. They exemplify what we strive for in our programs: fierce competitors and leaders both in competition and in the classroom. Their recognition is well-deserved."
Aquino and Gorostieta represented the boys soccer team as All-Sectional honorees, while Stott was a Sectional Qualifier for the boys golf team. Aquino also earned All-State accolades as he helped guide the Hornets to an IHSA Class 2A Regional Championship and their fourth consecutive Kishwaukee River Conference Tournament Championship.
The fall sports awards banquet was held at Harvard High School Monday night.
