CUSD 50 Staff Spotlight: Brenda Carbajal Ortiz, Bilingual Educational Support Personnel at Washington🌟
"I was born and raised in a small town in the State of Mexico called Las Vueltas, where the people are incredible and very close-knit. I attended high school in the municipality of Coatepec Harinas, where I earned my computer science certification."
"In first grade, I had a teacher who always had positive words for us and made us feel loved and safe. I always said that when I grew up, I wanted to be like her. It’s never too late to make your dreams come true. I have been working in the district for two years as a preschool teacher’s assistant. I came by recommendation of a friend, and I am very happy. I am grateful to the Washington team for letting me be part of it."
"What I like most about my job is the connection I build with my students. I love seeing them always smiling, with their little faces full of innocence. They make my days happier."
"What I like most about the district is my work team. There is always a smile for everyone, and their positivity makes each day very special. They are always willing to help, and I love being part of the Washington team."
"As part of the Washington team, I’ve realized that with just a small act—a gesture or a kind word—you can brighten anyone’s day. Positivity starts within yourself. Life gives many opportunities, and with positivity, many things can be achieved. It’s never too late to change and become who you want to be."
