Hornet Hustle text with City of Harvard, City of Harvard Parks & Rec and District logo

Harvard Community Unit School District 50 and the City of Harvard are teaming up to bring the community together for the inaugural Hornet Hustle, a fun run/walk event set for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Lions Park in Harvard.

The event kicks off with packet pickup at 8 a.m., followed by a 1K kids fun run/walk at 9 a.m. and a 5K fun run/walk at 9:30 a.m. Open to participants of all ages and ability levels, the Hornet Hustle will be as much a community celebration as it is an athletic event.

Proceeds from the Hornet Hustle will support Harvard CUSD 50's junior high cross country programs. The event also marks a milestone for Lions Park, highlighting the facility's newly expanded walking path.

Whether participants are chasing a personal record or cheering on local student-athletes, everyone is welcome. Lace up, show your Hornet pride, and help invest in the next generation of Harvard athletes.

Registration is open now at runsignup.com/Race/IL/Harvard/HornetHustle.
