Beyond his work in public education, DeRoo has broad experience in human resources leadership in the private sector, including building an HR division from the ground up for a financial consulting firm and managing HR functions across multiple retail locations.
DeRoo holds a bachelor of science in human resources management from Colorado State University-Global Campus. He is a certified professional through the Society for Human Resource Management and holds both the Professional in Human Resources and Senior Professional in Human Resources certifications from the HR Certification Institute.
