On January 30, 2021, the Northwest Herald announced the McHenry County Top Workplaces Readers’ Choice Awards 2020. We are thrilled to share that Harvard Community Unit School District 50 has been named the Top School/School District to work for in McHenry County!
“To be recognized as McHenry County's top school district to work for is as surprising as thrilling,” says Superintendent Dr. Corey Tafoya. “One person doesn't create this enthusiasm. This spirit comes from the collective efforts of hard-working and talented people with a common goal.”
McHenry County residents were asked to cast their votes for the McHenry County Top Workplaces Readers’ Choice Awards in late 2020. Compared to previous years, there was a significant increase in voting.
In the midst of a challenging year for both students and educators, it is an honor that our employees care so deeply about the work we’re doing here in District 50. Our competition was tough, and we at CUSD 50 are honored to have been chosen.
“We have been working like crazy to create a district that meets our fantastic community's needs and expectations,” said Dr. Tafoya. “We still have a lot to do, but we will continue our upward trajectory with the amazing people here in District 50.”
