Families who are traveling internationally this time of year must follow the CDC recommendations. Here is the procedure for international travel:

  • If you are traveling internationally, please notify your school nurse.

  • Get tested 3-5 days after travel, stay home and self-quarantine for 7 days.

    • If you test negative, stay home and self-quarantine for the full 7 days.

    • If you test positive, stay home and isolate for at least 10 calendar days from either onset of symptoms or specimen collection date, and 24 hours with no fever. These measures will protect others from getting infected. Notify your school nurse before returning to school.

  • If you don’t get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel. Notify your school nurse before returning to the building.

  • Avoid being around people who are at increased risk for severe illness for 14 days, whether you get tested or not.
