Harvard CUSD 50 is offering free meals over winter break for all children ages 1-18. The deadline to sign up is Dec. 15, so please register as soon as possible.

Pick up a week's worth of breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, Dec. 23 and Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Harvard High School from 10 a.m. to noon.

As we head into the colder months, here’s how we’ll keep families updated on school closings, delays, and e-learning days. Be sure to review our winter weather communication plan so you know what to expect!
Please also remember to send students to school with coats, snow pants, hats, and gloves. Students will go outside for recess unless the “feels like” temperature is 10°F or below, so proper winter gear is a must. If you need help accessing winter gear, please contact your child's school main office.

On December 2nd, National Special Education Day recognizes changes in federal legislation that led to the nation's first special education law. Today, Harvard CUSD 50 honors the educators who ensure every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Our special education teachers, paraprofessionals and support staff create environments where all students can thrive. They adapt instruction, provide individualized support and partner with families to help students discover their strengths and build independence.

American Education Week (Nov. 17-21) celebrates the wide range of support professionals who help our students succeed, including paraeducators, clerical staff, bus drivers, technical specialists, and student service workers. Each plays a crucial role in supporting students and families while keeping our schools running smoothly. Today, on Education Support Professionals Day, we extend our sincere thanks to every individual who contributes to the success of Harvard CUSD 50.

The Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) is hosting its first workshop tonight (Thursday, Nov. 6) from 6–7:30 p.m. at the Central Office. Families are invited to learn more about graduation stoles and explore technology tools that support student success.

🍂 Fall Family Language Night at Crosby!

All District 50 families are invited to join us Thursday for an evening of connection and learning at Fall Family Language Night. Whether you’re part of the Dual Language Program or simply want to learn how to support our bilingual students, you’re welcome!

Families will explore the goals of the Dual Language Program, what to expect at each level—including how students can earn the Seal of Biliteracy—and discover ways to get involved through PTO, BPAC, and Booster Groups.

Harvard CUSD 50 invites all community members to attend the first session of D50 Listens: Community Conversations on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 6–7 p.m. at the Harvard Diggins Library.

Community members will have the chance to share their perspectives, connect with district leadership, and discuss current priorities.

The event is free and open to the public.

Jefferson Elementary is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 2 at 5:30 pm. This is to celebrate the opening of the ETCHED Center as well as show off the renovations and additions made to Jefferson. Anybody is welcome to join this event followed by a walkthrough tour of the new spaces.
