D50 aims to keep all of our students safe while continuing in-person learning. When a student is symptomatic, has a positive COVID-19 test, or is deemed a close contact, the McHenry County Department of Health determines the student's exclusion.

This past week, Harvard CUSD 50 Superintendent Dr. Tafoya joined his fellow McHenry County Superintendents in urging the state to release new guidelines for returning to school in the fall. Throughout the past year, we have followed the state's recommendations through our COVID restrictions and remote learning options. As we work to create a plan that keeps students safe and allows them to return to school in person, we are again seeking the state's recommendations and urging them to announce their guidance.
Below is the letter that Dr. Corey Tafoya has signed to advocate for our students, district, and community so that we can create and share a return plan for the fall with our families as soon as possible.
